The shooting of the much-awaited film “Housefull 5” will begin in September. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has assembled an impressive cast for the comedy adventure, which includes Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt and Fardeen Khan. Now, according to the latest news, Jacqueline Fernandez has returned to the team, to play leading lady opposite Akshay Kumar.
A source revealed by Bollywood Hungama that Jacqueline Fernandez is excited to return to the Housefull franchise. The source added that Sajid Nadiadwala is in talks with three other lead actresses to join the cast, an official announcement expected soon.
It was announced that Housefull 5 will be release in theaters on June 6, 2025, due to delays in filming. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala said, “The team has created an absolutely breathtaking story that requires world-class visual effects. Hence, we have decided to advance the release to ensure five times more entertainment with a fantastic cinematic experience.”
The first Housefull film was released in 2010, starring Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Arjun Rampal, Jiah Khan and Chunky Pandey. The sequel followed in 2012 with Housefull 2, starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ritesh Deshmukh, Zareen Khan, Shreyas Talpade and Shazahn Padamsee. Housefull 3 and Housefull 4 arrived in theaters in 2016 and 2019 respectively. Now Housefull 5 set for directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 will be the most expensive installment in the franchise, with a budget of INR 300 crore.
