It Ends with Us Crosses $200 Million at the Global Box Office

It Ends with Us continues to thrive, crossing the $200 million mark at the global box office. The adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s popular novel, starring and produced by Blake Lively, has earned $204.4 million worldwide, including $106.7 million domestically and $97.7 million internationally. 

The release has yet to blossom at the box office in several markets. Italy pulled out on August 21, while China, Korea, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan are still in.

Justin Baldoni directed and also starring the film, $25 million co-production is set to be the biggest female-led event of 2024 and becomes the biggest romantic drama since “A Star Is Born” (2018). It already surpassed the global totals of female-led films including Where the Crawdads Sing, The Lost City and Girl on the Train.

This global milestone comes after It Ends with Us grossed $100 million at the domestic box office in just 11 days. When It Ends with Us began its global rollout two weeks ago, with an $80 million global debut and covering just 68% of its overseas presence.

Blake Lively was an integral part of the creative behind It Ends with Us, Sony ultimately got the release date perfect, falling two weeks after Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Blake Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds and in a market that wanted an adult film aimed at women.

The total foreign countries collection of its two weeks of release, UK $17.2 million, Australia $10.1 million, Mexico $8.4 million, Brazil $7 million and Germany $6.5 million.
