Blake Lively is known for her unique and eye-catching personal style, so it’s no surprise that Blake Lively has been showing off some memorable looks during promoting her latest film, It Ends with Us.
The actress was photographed wearing floral pieces in homage to her character, florist Lily Bloom, including the iconic sequined Versace dress from the brand’s fall/winter 2002 collection, originally worn by Britney Spears.
Blake Lively also chose a different on-screen outfit for the film. The 36 year old actress explained that Lily Bloom’s somewhat unusual style in the film was intentional and well thought out.
“What was really important for the character was that you realized that she was a walking, talking conflict,” Blake Lively explained in a new interview. “It can be everything at once. It can be strong and weak. It can be both masculine and feminine. It can be artistic and overly expressive. It can be fashionable and imaginative, but it can also be very grounded in utility. Wardrobe is always the way to get into the character’s skin.”

Blake Lively went on to explain that when promoting her work, her fashion choices on the red carpet or in interviews also come in handy. “I’m a very shy person,” she says, pointing to her contrasting multi-colored floral and polka dot print. “So if I look a certain way, I can pull it off. Even now, I don’t dress like that in real life. But I have to do interviews and speak, so I will wear a crazy design.”

Blake Lively then pointed out her selection of Lorraine Schwartz rings, which she wore for the interview, adding that they were her very expensive comfort blanket. “I wish Snuggies were a comfort blanket,” Blake joked. “I prefer Lorraine Schwartz instead, which is problematic.”
Blake Lively’s polished style even extended to her nails for the It Ends with Us promo tour. A longtime collaborator of Elle Gerstein, the celebrity nail designer has given her countless manicures incorporating floral motifs, from the abstract to the literal. After Elle Gerstein created a shimmering base using OPI’s go to Portrait Mode polish, Blake added her own floral and butterfly details.
