Barbie Total Box Office Worldwide Collection Grossed Over $1 Billion

The Movie Barbie has been super hit at the box office, Barbie already breaking 17 box office records after the movie release at the theaters on it's first 4 weekends.

The Barbenheimer finally hit theaters, with Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and Barbie opening on the same day at the theaters. Viral intrigue likely pushed more people out to the theaters than would've gone if both movie hadn't released during same weekend. When Barbie release at theaters on July 21 and it came out swinging with a blessed performance that broke box office many records.

Barbie domestically has grossed estimated $575 million on August 23rd at the American box office. Barbie is the 8th fastest film of all time that achieve this milestone. At worldwide box office The Barbie movie has passed $1.3 billion on August 23rd. The film is now eyeing total of estimated $1.5 to $1.6 billion by the end of it's run.

The king of box office in 2023, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, is trumped by Barbie movie during it's 3 day opening weekend. The Super Mario Bros. Movie opened to $146.3 million. Now Barbie has record that it's a female director's biggest opening movie. Greta Gerwig's new film beat Captain Marvel movie as the highest grossing opening weekend film directed by a woman director. Patty Jenkins was also held that record before for Wonder Woman film for $103.3 million opening. Barbie also record for non-sequel highest opening film at the box office. Barbie is the highest opening weekend for a non-sequel and non-superhero film. Originally it's based on an iconic fashion doll. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling made a new world record as they never had a film open more money at the box office. Margot Robbie's previous highest was Suicide Squad total worldwide $746 million and Ryan Gosling's Blade Runner 2049 total worldwide $267.5 million. Now Barbie becoming the highest grossing film of 2023. On August 23rd, Barbie surpassed The Super Mario Bros. Movie and becoming the highest grossing movie of 2023 with $575 million and $1.3 billion worldwide.

Additionally, Now Barbie became the highest grossing 14th movie of all time, behind Top Gun: Maverick $1.5 billion, Frozen 2 $1.4 billion. If Barbie gross $1.5 to $1.6 billion by it's end of run at box office, it's will become the 10th highest grossing movie of all time. Barbie film is now playing in theaters worldwide.
