James Gunn Announces 'DC Studios' Chapter 1 Is Bigger Than Expected

DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn gave fans an exciting update teasing more to come in the DCU's upcoming Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters slate. James Gunn officially announced a dozen projects that will make up the new Chapter 1. This slate includes five movies and five TV shows that will begin coming to the big screen in 2025, classic characters like Superman and Wonder Woman while also highlighting new faces the Creature Commandos with Swamp Thing. Plenty of progress is already being made on start of this slate, there seems to be a number of other entries that haven't been made public yet.

James Gunn discussing his plans for DCU in an interview, A world, where superheroes exists. Writers team will completely work on the whole adventure, For explanation James Gunn says we are coming with a world where superheroes existed for some time in a form, that's the universe. We are coming with a big central story. I think we have a lot more planned out than MCU from the beginning, because we have our writers group work together to this story out complete. James Gunn noted that two chapters planned out for next decade. James Gunn says 8 to 10 years plan is two chapters there's an ending to our basic story but it's mean not the ending of the universe. 


When Fans Learn About DCU New Projects ?

DCU movies still hit theaters in this year and also in 2024 and James Gunn shared that new slate will release two new movies and two new shows every year after 2025. There are 20 new projects that make of Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters will begin with Creatures and Commandos on HBO Max in 2025 before ‘Superman: Legacy’ kicks off slate on 2025.
